The genuine connection, movement, and personality that makes your family unique. With a background working in Child Development, I follow their lead and meet every age with patience and curiosity. I aim to create a session where everyone feels at ease being themselves and has a good time!

I love to work with people and families who align with my approach. I want a session to feel like a stress-free hang out. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to get the outfits together, the makeup perfect, worrying about the weather, the kids are cranky... it's overwhelming! But I strive to bring a calming energy, and remind you the whole point of it all, is capturing you and yours as you are. So I love to work with families and individuals who also value natural interactions and emotions!

BEHIND THE CAMERA WITH KARA
Ever since I was a little girl, I've felt the overwhelming NEED to document everything haha. There's something so special about freezing a feeling in time and being able to revisit it. So this photography journey comes as no surprise to me! My career background was in Early Intervention, working with little ones needing a little extra assistance. This shaped my interactions and how I photograph people of all kinds —with gentleness. flexibility, and heart.
When I'm not taking photos, you'll find me walking my dog, shopping at a thrift store or estate sale, hanging out with my husband, Aaron, or trying to take some kind of trip, lol. We had the incredible opportunity to spend 5 years moving around and seeing different parts of the country. Those years deepened my love for simple moments and meaningful connection — something I hope to bring to every session.

Some say the waiting is the hardest part, haha. I'll be working on your gallery and let you know ASAP when it is ready! This can take up to two weeks!
